A scavenger hunt is a game in which individuals or teams seek to gather a number of specific items—usually not by purchase—or perform tasks as given by a list. The goal is usually to complete the list first.
[edit] Recurring scavenger hunts
- The annual Tricadecathlonomania, a 24-hour worldwide event that began in Northfield, MN, takes place in April of each year. High school and college students complete physical tasks, find items, and videotape stunts to amass points.
[edit] Variations

- In some scavenger hunts, competitors win by completing the list in the most creative manner.
- An Online Scavenger Hunt is one where people need to find pictures, people, or other things online on the internet.
